Date night ideas - cocktail making class

This week’s date night idea is a cocktail making session. If you are thinking that these types of classes are just for drunk hen parties, think again. It’s all about molecular mixology and liquid alchemy now so the bar (!!) has really be raised, making them a great date option. With classes all around the country, this is a fun and easy date option. Here are a few interesting options that we like the look of:-

TT Liquor in Shoreditch, London, have their own custom-built mini-bars where a maximum of 5 people per bar are guided by in-house mixologists. Over the course of two hours, you’ll make (and drink!) four different cocktails using the finest liquor and fresh ingredients.

The Folly, Oxford, offer a 30-minute river cruise followed by a 1.5 – 2 hr cocktail masterclass on their fabulous riverside pontoon.

The Jekyll and Hyde, Birmingham, have “gin gurus” guide you through the world of gin, and gin-based cocktails, including blindfolded tasting elements. The session ends with “Cocktail Chemistry” where you create your very own gin cocktail. Just the tonic (!) for your relationship.

The Corinthian Club, Glasgow, offer an ultra-chic setting and elegant three course meal to accompany their liquid alchemy for beginners. You’ll learn the techniques to create the perfect cocktail under the decadent dome and sumptuous embellished ceilings.

The Dead Canary, Cardiff, have a choice of three cocktail classes to choose from: rum, gin and whiskey/beer. Set in a listed building with quirky dark and brooding décor, it’s the perfect spot for you to become a mixology master.

So grab your special someone and conjure up some love potions of your own that are lip-smackingly good!
